Ingredients
Method
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large pan over medium heat, brown the sausage and cook the vegetables. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Remove from heat once browned and your vegetables are cooked. Do not drain your fat!
- Spay a 9x13 with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl. whisk together your eggs, 2 cups of milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Add all of the frozen Tater tots to the 9x13. Using a slotted spoon, add cooked sausage and vegetables. Top with the egg/milk mixture and sharp cheddar cheese. Bake in the oven for 60-70 minutes, uncovered.
- Once the casserole has 15 minutes left baking, start on your breakfast gravy.
- In the same pan that you browned the sausage, melt 2 Tbsp of butter. Once the butter has melted and stir in 2 Tbsp of flour. Whisk around until the mixture is smooth. Cook for 2 minutes. Slowly pour in the rest of the milk. It is best to add it in thirds, stirring each time till it becomes a paste, then add in the next 1/3 till you have gravy.
- Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before digging in! Top the casserole with the gravy or serve this on the side!
- Enjoy!
