Ingredients

  • 2-3 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cups of Long Grain Rice
  • 2 tsp of Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp of Chicken Bouillon
  • 2 tsp of Onion Powder
  • 2 tsp of Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to your taste
  • 1 can 8 ounces of Tomato Sauce
  • 1/4 of an Onion Optional
  • 4 cups of Warm or Hot Water

Method

  1. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil and washed rice. Toast the rice for 5-6 minutes, stirring constantly. Be attentive to prevent burning; if the rice burns, you will need to start over.
  2. After toasting the rice, add the chili powder, chicken bouillon, onion powder, and garlic powder. Toast for an additional 1-2 minutes to enhance the flavor. Then, stir in the tomato sauce and water. Bring the mixture to a boil. If you're using the optional quarter of an onion, place it in the middle of the pan.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid or tightly with foil, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes.
  4. After the specified time, your rice should be fluffy and soft, ready to serve.
  5. Enjoy your flavorful and aromatic rice!
