Honey Jalapeno Cornbread

Sweet and spicy warm cornbread serve with sweet honey butter. Pairs prefect with chili or soup!

Ingredients
  

  • ½ Cup Melted Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 ¼ Cups Buttermilk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 Jalapeno Deseeded and Chopped
Honey Butter
  • ½ Cup Soft Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Honey
  • Pinch of Salt

Method
 

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9×9 baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl mix all the of the liquids together. Add in the dry ingredients and mix just until it’s combined. Fold in the jalapenos.
  3. Pour into the greased 9×9 and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the soft butter, honey and a pinch of salt till smooth. Serve along side warm cornbread.
