Cake Donuts with a Strawberry Glaze

Cake donuts with a sweet strawberry glaze and rainbow sprinkles.

Ingredients
  

Donuts
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Eggs (1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk)
  • 3 Tbsp Melted Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Whole Milk
Strawberry Glaze
  • 1 Cup Powder Sugar
  • 3 Strawberries or 3 Tablespoons of Strawberry Jam
  • 1-2 tsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tsp water

Method
 

  1. Pre-Heat oven to 350 degrees
Donuts
  1. Combined your wet ingredients in one bowl and your dry ingredients in another. Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients.
  2. Add dough to a pastry bag or zip lock bag and pipe into your donut molds. Molds can be found here https://amzn.to/3lQuuIE. Place the filled donut molds onto a baking sheet. Lightly tap the pan onto the counter to release any air bubbles.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Strawberry Glaze
  1. Add strawberries (stems removed) to a blender with 1 tsp water. Blend until smooth. To a bowl combined confectioners' sugar, strawberries, and vanilla extract. If the mixture is to thick add 1 tsp of milk to thin add 1 tablespoon of confectioners' sugar.
  2. Once the donuts come out of the oven, let them rest for 10 minutes before removing from the molds.
  3. Dip donuts into the strawberry glaze then dip them into your rainbow sprinkles.
  4. Enjoy!
